Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Wakanda Playzone, Pathanamthitta, Kerala ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use the Wakanda Playzone mobile app to book slots at our turf, and when you use this website.
What we collect
- Phone number: to sign you in with a one-time password (OTP) and to contact you about a booking.
- Name and, optionally, email address: so our staff know who is playing.
- Bookings: date, time, sport, price, status, payment status at the venue and cancellations.
- Push notification token: an identifier from Google/Apple so we can send booking confirmations and reminders.
- Technical logs: IP address, device type and app version, kept briefly for security and rate limiting.
We do not collect payment card details (all payments are made at the turf), location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers.
How we use it
- To create and manage your bookings and prevent double bookings.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders and changes by push notification.
- To apply house rules, such as booking limits and pausing accounts after repeated no-shows.
- To protect the service against abuse and fraud.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run the app, under their own data-protection terms:
- SMS / WhatsApp OTP delivery (MSG91 or Twilio): your phone number and the code.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service: your push token and notification text.
- Our hosting provider, where the booking database is stored.
We may disclose data if required by Indian law.
How long we keep it
- Your account data is kept while your account is active.
- OTP codes are deleted within two days; sign-in tokens expire when you log out or delete your account.
- Booking records are kept for accounting, with personal details removed when you delete your account.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your name in the app under Profile.
- Turn off notifications in your phone's settings at any time.
- Delete your account in the app under Profile › Delete account, or follow the steps on wakandaplayzone.in/delete-account.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or a correction by emailing us.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. OTP codes are stored hashed, sign-in tokens can be revoked, and staff access to the admin panel is limited by role.
Children
The app is meant for players aged 13 and over. Younger players should book through a parent or guardian.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and show the new date at the top.
